2022 Black Dot

The 2022 Black Dot is a blend of five red grapes from the Columbia Gorge, Horse Heaven Hills, and Columbia Valley AVAs.  Black Dot balances Petit Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. Aromas of cassis, cedar, allspice, and blueberry jam play in the glass, giving way to a youthful mid-palate explosion of ripe fruit flavors and tannins. You’ll sense pie cherry, currants, a dash of black pepper, and dry earth. Allow this wine to breathe and a hint of honeysuckle flowers will tie all of the aromas and flavors together in a symphony. McKinley Spring Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills AVA

Black Dot. The Rebel. Black Dot proudly breaks the rules and you love her for it. You never know when she is going to come back into your life – how long will she make you wait?!  We didn’t even know we were going to make another Black Dot, until we were tasting a wine blend one day and memories of past vintages of Black Dot came flooding back to us (the first, going all of the way back to 2004). And just like that, she was back in our lives… and yours! Leave all those wine rules at the door and open yourself to the magic!
